A recent report by a partnership of CNN and Money Magazine provided a list of the top ten cities in the nation to buy real estate. On that list of cities, Wilmington and the surrounding area ranked 7 th overall throughout the entire nation. With recent national trends in real estate generally turning in a downward direction, our market continues to be strong because of what we offer. Wilmington has something for everyone including a vibrant historical downtown riverfront, scenic beaches, a growing university setting and a very healthy economy. Recent announcements for future projects plans from the city and county include a new convention center, another high rise bridge to connect New Hanover and Brunswick counties, as well as a new sea port facility just to name a few.
